News research

In today's lesson we looked through some broadsheets to see what current news could effect the fashion industry on the whole.
One article was about tax free ISAs for children, which are being set up by their parents at an early age. Showing that their parents wont be spending money on materialistic things. But in the future their children may be doing so if they are free of debt because of the money that has been saved for them.
Second was an article on how dogs are seen as a fashion accessory. People have been spending more money on their dogs- getting a designer pooch. As many people are having children later in life, dogs fill the void in the early part of their life.
Thirdly was an article on how high street dresses are giving designer's a run for their money. As a dress from h&m was seen on the red carpet. Making the high street more popular when endorsed by celebrities.
Lastly was an article on gym wear. A company had admitted that their yoga pants where too see-through. Having designer gym wear is becoming more popular as people are more concerned about having a healthy lifestyle.
